Air Botswana releases dates for new South African routes
Air Botswana has announced the launch dates for its new routes connecting Botswana and South Africa, marking a significant expansion of its network. The move aims to enhance flight connectivity within Southern Africa and offer passengers more flexibility.
Starting 1 October, the Gaborone-Durban route will operate on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. From 1 November, three additional routes will commence: Maun-Cape Town (Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays), Kasane-Mpumalanga (Wednesdays, Fridays, Sundays), and Kasane-Cape Town (Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays).
The airline is also increasing frequencies on existing routes and reinstating some previously suspended during the COVID-19 pandemic.
CEO Lulu Rasebotsa highlighted the strategic importance of these popular business and tourism destinations, stating the expansion aligns with Air Botswana's growth and sustainability plans.
This network expansion is expected to boost economic activities in the region, particularly benefiting Botswana's tourism and business sectors.
