Africa’s Green Economy Summit 2026
The event will take place in Cape Town from 24 to 27 February 2026 and aims to connect global investors with African, investment‑ready projects to accelerate a just and inclusive green transition across sectors including renewable energy, green transport, water, waste, sustainable agriculture, green buildings, the blue economy and climate tech. Sanlam Investments will return as headline sponsor of Africa’s Green Economy Summit (AGES) for the third consecutive year.
Now in its fourth year, AGES has showcased more than 90 initiatives to date worth over US$8.7 billion. The 2026 edition will feature more than 40 projects across two pitch stages, with an investor‑driven format including roundtables, deal rooms and curated matchmaking with DFIs, venture capital funds, banks and asset managers. Nature and biodiversity finance will be in focus, highlighting emerging markets for biodiversity credits and nature‑based finance, while Sanlam’s CEO Carl Roothman underscored the firm’s pursuit of competitive, risk‑adjusted returns alongside measurable social and environmental outcomes.
