ACSA launches real-time baggage tracking on mobile app
Airports Company South Africa (ACSA) has introduced real-time baggage tracking on the ACSA Mobile App, giving passengers visibility of checked bags from handover at check-in through handling to aircraft loading. Travellers can access bag status by entering their booking reference and flight date, with the updated app available on the Apple App Store, Google Play Store and Huawei AppGallery since Tuesday, 18 November 2025.
ACSA said the feature is a milestone in its digital transformation, designed to boost transparency, efficiency and passenger confidence across its airport network. Interim Chief Information Officer Sello Makhubela noted the upgrade strengthens trust in operational processes – a timely enhancement for peak-season travel and a positive step for the wider tourism experience in South Africa.
