18th Marula Festival Set to Wow Attendees in Limpopo, South Africa

Excitement builds as the 18th edition of the Marula Festival gears up to enchant music enthusiasts in Phalaborwa town, Limpopo. The festival's activities and lineup have been finalised, promising an unforgettable experience for attendees. Marula is a fruit native to Africa that holds cultural and economic significance.

Speaking at the Marula Festival media launch held at Uhuru Lifestyle Emporium in Polokwane, MEC for Limpopo Economic Development, Environment and Tourism (LEDET), Rodgers Monama assured that this year’s event would surpass previous ones in scale. Monama highlighted the festival's multifaceted approach, aiming to create job opportunities and alleviate poverty through various activities beyond the marula beverage focus.

Ba-Phalaborwa Mayor Merriam Malatji expressed satisfaction with the emphasis on empowering local small businesses. The festival, scheduled from April 26 to May 4, will feature a cultural parade, career expo, marathon, and golf days, culminating in an open-air concert at Impala Park Stadium on May 4.
