Albatros Travel Africa is part of Albatros Travel A/S, a Danish travel company founded in 1986 by the biologist and writer Søren Rasmussen. From our beginnings in a small Copenhagen office, we now have travel centres spanning the world. Aside from our head office in Copenhagen, Albatros has four offices across Europe, as well as Greenland and China. In Africa, we have offices in South Africa, Kenya and Tanzania, making us a true regional DMC. Our offices are small and for us, your travelers have a name, not just a number. Along with our personalised service, we have impressive reach and buying power and fulfill an often-overlooked niche in East and Southern Africa by offering private/custom safaris (fly-in and private guided driving safaris) as well as several high-quality, high­-value scheduled group departures utilising boutique lodges and camps. Our mission is to share the very best of East and Southern Africa with our trade-only partners.

Founded in 2019 the Albatros Africa Foundation was established to consolidate our Corporate Social Responsibility activities. Through fundraising from our guests and donations from our various Albatros Travel businesses & relationships in South Africa, the Albatros Africa Foundation funds a variety of projects.
