Zambezi Cruise and Safaris, Zimbabwe’s premier cruise and safari company, has added the Zambezi Trader houseboat to their ever-expanding fleet, and portfolio of lodges, situated in top tourist destinations around Zimbabwe.

With 75% of the components having arrived on Lake Kariba, the construction of the MV Zambezi Adventurer, the newest addition to Zambezi Cruise and Safaris fleet, is now well under way with the pontoons and initial structure assembled. The MV Zambezi Adventurer will be the largest vessel on Lake Kariba with capacity for 76 pax in three levels of accommodation.

The MV ‘Zambezi Adventurer’ is on the move.   16 truckloads of components have started the epic journey from Johannesburg to Lake Kariba. The 53 meter long and 11 wide Transcruiser, built in South Africa, will be reassembled and finished in Kariba.  With 28 cabins, all en-suite and air conditioned with stunning full glass views directly out to the lake, 2 swimming pools, 2 large air-conditioned bar-dining/lounge areas and numerous outdoor decks, she will be the largest vessel ever to work on Lake Kariba.

Zambezi Cruise & Safaris is pleased to announce completion of a successful operation to cut and bale 5500 bales of grass at Kariba Airport as a first phase of the 30,000 bales we plan to donate. We are currently transporting this to Mana Pools National Park from where it will be distributed as part of a supplementary feeding programme by Mana Stakeholders.

Zambezi Cruise and Safaris announce that Mana Pools Safari Lodge has diversified from the current successful Group Series market, to include the Free Independent Travellers / Tourist (FIT) market, as part of our holistic understanding for the need of an individualistic approach to travel. Mana Pools Safari Lodge is a key property in Zambezi Cruise and Safaris’ portfolio as they move into the FIT market.  With the impending launch of the trans cruiser “Zambezi Adventurer’, which will cruise the entire 270km length of Lake Kariba, between Binga in the west and Kariba Town in the east, creating a unique link to two World Heritage sites – Mana Pools National Park and Victoria Falls – it is the ideal opportunity for the FIT market!

Binga was chosen for its accessibility to the international market coming into Victoria Falls, Botswana’s – Chobe, Livingstone & Hwange (a 2.5 hour drive away), as the perfect 3 night ‘Cruise Safari ADD-ON’ for Group Series and FIT.

Zambezi Cruise and Safaris are delighted to announce the launch of the newest member of their fleet on Lake Kariba – Sovereign Sovereign underwent major refurbishment during 2018 and boasts 10 luxurious cabins with air conditioning, en-suite shower and WC for that cruise of a lifetime. The generously proportioned lounge and dining area offers panoramic views of the landscape, coupled with stylish interiors. A staircase leads to the top deck, from where our captain commands the vessel. From here you have an enviable bird’s eye view of the lake and its surrounds – a great place to relax on a day bed in the open air.

Zambezi Cruise & Safaris are proud to introduce, to the international market, the recently opened Kariba Safari Lodge – the latest addition to our lodge portfolio. A complete new build, this lodge offers eight suites and nine lodges, all with stunning Lake Kariba views. Located on 33 acres of naturally wooded hillside, the game fenced property slopes down to a sandy beach (Lake water levels permitting). Clients arriving or departing by one of Zambezi Cruise and Safaris cruise boats are able to embark/disembark on the property.
