Reteti Elephant Sanctuary

Website http://www.reteti.org

Reteti Elephant Sanctuary is a community-owned elephant rescue and rehabilitation center in northern Kenya’s Namunyak Wildlife Conservancy. It was established in 2016 to rescue orphaned and abandoned elephant calves, provide them with round-the-clock care and nurturing by trained Samburu keepers, and eventually rehabilitate and release them back into the wild once ready. The sanctuary is notable for being Africa’s first Indigenous community-run elephant sanctuary, helping protect wildlife while supporting local livelihoods and conservation efforts
Save The Elephants

Website http://savetheelephants.org

Save the Elephants is a wildlife conservation charity founded in 1993 by zoologist Iain Douglas-Hamilton, headquartered in Nairobi, Kenya. Its mission is to secure a future for elephants, sustain the ecological integrity of the landscapes where they live, and promote peaceful coexistence between elephants and people by combining scientific research on elephant behavior and movement with practical conservation efforts. The organization uses tools like GPS tracking, community outreach, and the Elephant Crisis Fund (in partnership with the Wildlife Conservation Network) to combat poaching, inform landscape planning, and support projects that protect elephant populations across Africa and beyond.
Sheldrick Wildlife Trust

The Sheldrick Wildlife Trust is a Kenyan wildlife conservation charity founded in 1977 by Dame Daphne Sheldrick. It’s best known for its pioneering Orphans’ Project, the world’s most successful program for rescuing, hand-raising, rehabilitating and eventually releasing orphaned elephants and rhinos back into the wild. Beyond orphan care, the Trust works across Kenya on anti-poaching efforts, habitat protection, veterinary support, community outreach, and broader wildlife conservation in partnership with local authorities.
