The Grown-up Travel Company is a niche tour operator specialising in Africa and based in central Norway. It is currently a one-man operation run by Andy Higgs, who is a Brit but has been living in Norway for 27+ years and now holds dual citizenship. The core client base is experienced travellers in the 45+ age group looking for a unique African adventure designed by someone who knows what they are talking about. I believe the most vital concept in this industry is to manage expectations - and that means knowing the product and experience personally and building and maintaining a network of contacts with the same one goal - to bring more people to Africa. I see my business contacts as friends and since I am 100% dependent on getting 5-star reviews my reputation is on the line with each booking - so I only take on clients who I know will appreciate what I can offer.
