Overview

Onguma Nature Reserve is situated on the eastern boundary of Namibia's famous Etosha National Park. Etosha is one of Africa’s largest game reserves and is known for its extensive silver salt pan which shimmers in the heat and attracts a wide variety of wildlife including huge herds of elephant, black and white rhino, Burchell’s zebra, red hartebeest, blue wildebeest and black-faced impala. It's also a great place to spot lion, cheetah and sometimes leopard. The only member missing from the "Big 5" is buffalo. It's also a birder's paradise with over 340 species recorded.

Onguma Nature Reserve also offers great game viewing with a bit more flexibility to enjoy guided interpretive bush walks and sundowner night drives - and even sleep outs under the stars in the reserve on a specially adapted Dream Cruiser.

There is also the Onkolo Hide for keen photographers which is at water-level for optimum vantage point shots.

With a choice of 5 safari lodges, two campsites and 34 000 hectares of private wilderness to explore, Onguma has an option to suit every guest's taste and budget.

Safari Camps include:
