The association "Friends of Mpanshya Hospital Zambia", founded in 2012, financially supports several projects in and around Mpanshya and Chamilala. For example, the Mpanshya Hospital, the Pre School Mpanshya, the Health Center Chamilala, the Tiopa Village, the Pre School Chamilala and the Mulele Old People's Village (retirement home). In addition, Njovu Safaris arranges sponsorships for children (orphans and children in need) as well as for elderly people.
Gabi Thoenen personally travels regularly to Mpanshya to visit the realized projects and to select new ones.
