Overview

Namibia Individual Travel is an owner-managed destination management company based in Windhoek, Namibia, specialising in tailor-made safaris and journeys throughout Namibia, Botswana and selected Southern African destinations. Established more than 25 years ago, the company has built a strong reputation for personalised service, operational excellence and in-depth destination knowledge. Founded by former safari guides, Namibia Individual Travel combines firsthand field experience with a passionate and knowledgeable team of travel consultants. We design and operate a wide range of journeys, from self-drive and guided safaris to luxury fly-in itineraries, family adventures, active holidays and specialist mountain bike tours. Every itinerary is individually planned to reflect the interests, expectations and budget of each traveller. As an independent operator, we are not aligned with any particular lodge group or tourism supplier. This allows us to provide objective advice and select the most suitable accommodation, guides and experiences from across the region. Over the years, we have developed trusted relationships with lodges, conservation organisations and tourism partners throughout Southern Africa, enabling us to create seamless and memorable travel experiences for our guests. Our philosophy is simple: to offer honest advice, personal attention and carefully planned journeys that showcase the very best of Namibia and Southern Africa while supporting responsible and sustainable tourism.

Havana Soup Kitchen

Havana is an informal settlement with inadequate infrastructure in Katutura, a township on the outskirts of Windhoek. Ten or more residents often share a small tin hut, which usually has no electricity or water supply. A lack of education, unemployment and lack of prospects are widespread and often lead to alcoholism, domestic violence and child neglect. The Havana Soup Kitchen was founded in 2010. Currently, around 40 pre-school children are lovingly looked after there in the mornings, receive two balanced meals a day and are prepared for school through play. Frieda and her team not only teach the children important life skills, but also show them that they are valuable. They also support the families in improving their general living situation.
