Jaci and Jan van Heteren are the founders and owner-manager couple behind Jaci’s Lodges. Jaci’s Safari Lodge offers a refreshing, authentic safari space in which to unwind. The gorgeous safari-style accommodation at Jaci’s Safari Lodge features two exclusive Starbed Suites, six luxury Tented Suites and two private family and group suites – Nare Suite and Safari Suite.
An elevated lodge that appears to float above the ground, Jaci’s Tree Lodge blends seamlessly into its natural environment. The eight Treehouse Suites luxuriously accommodate guests in custom built stilled treehouse-style structures, connected by elevated walkways, which boast magnificent views into the riverine forest, and glimpses across the Marico River. Guests staying at Jaci’s Tree Lodge and the Starbed Suites, enjoy access to the submerged photographic “Terrapin Hide”, as well as optional safari sleep-outs at Naledi Treehouse.
Jaci’s Madikwe House is the ideal private safari hideaway for families and groups of up to ten guests. The private house and separate guest cottage comes complete with chef, housekeeper, waitron, swimming pool, hot tub and pizza oven. Guests at Nare Suite, Safari Suite and Jaci’s Madikwe House have a private game viewing vehicle and field guide for the duration of their stay.

Over the past two months, the team at Jaci’s Lodges have been hard at work updating and refurbishing the Treehouse Suites at Jaci's Tree Lodge, and we’re pleased to report all the upgrades and refurbishments have been completed, just in time for the Festive Season!
Jaci’s Lodges are run by a team of dedicated individuals, the majority of which are members of the Jaci’s Staff Trust, and most of whom live in the local community. Each person who works at the lodge contributes to the daily running, management, maintenance and outstanding service that has made Jaci’s Lodges famous throughout the years.
Via the implementation of the Jaci’s Staff Trust initiative, Jaci’s Lodges aim to make a tangible difference in the lives of each member of staff. The impact is far-reaching, with the ultimate aim of empowering, uplifting and inspiring the local community.
The Trust offers staff members who have been employed at Jaci’s Lodges for more than five years, the opportunity to become shareholders in the business.
A total of 27% of the business is currently owned by the Jaci’s Staff Trust. The shareholding is held in a trust, and eligible members receive their portion of the company dividends at the end of each year.
