Overview

Alan qualified as an English solicitor in 1982 and has spent 35 years advising the travel industry on liability, regulation and customer service. After 8 years as Head of Legal Services for the trade association ABTA, Alan set up AGB Associates in 1996 and has continued to represent travel agents, operators, and two further trade associations.

Alan has practical experience of running a travel business having been the Company Secretary for a large operator chartering planes for long haul flights. He has appeared in numerous TV programmes regarding travel together with BBC, ITV and Channel 4 news in the UK and continues to regularly appear on the radio offering travel advice. 

AGB Associates offers members an initial free call or email regarding legal issues in the UK or EU. If further advice is necessary, this can be arranged at a fixed fee.
