Kevin was born and grew up in Dorset, England. In 2007 Kevin qualifying as a chartered accountant in 2010 and worked for Ernst and Young in the UK before joining Volcanoes Safaris.
Kevin has worked for VS and lived in Uganda since 2012, starting as the Finance Controller and becoming the General Manager in 2016 and then the Chief Operating Officer in 2022. Outside of work Kevin enjoys fishing, photography, and exploring the national parks of Rwanda and Uganda.
Betty was born and raised in Kampala and graduated from Makerere University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Tourism. She has worked for Volcanoes since 2013, starting as a sales consultant and becoming the Sales Manager in 2024.
Travelling is her passion, and she considers herself lucky to be able to combine this with her work at Volcanoes. Her favourite area is the South West of Uganda – Bwindi and Mgahinga for its breathtaking scenery. Her favourite quote is from Susan Satong – “I haven’t been everywhere, but it’s on my list”!
In 2024, Betty was named a Top Travel Specialist by Condé Nast Traveler. Condé Nast recognized Betty’s experience and knowledge, calling her a ‘magician’ at crafting the perfect great ape safari.
