Nairobi Tented Camp: Your Bush Escape, Without Leaving Nairobi
A Safari Feeling, Ten Minutes from the Traffic
Tucked into lush indigenous woodland in Karen, Nairobi Tented Camp is proof that you don't need a long drive or a flight to hear the bush wake up. Just minutes from the city's attractions, it's a peaceful nature retreat where you can slow down, breathe out and reconnect with nature, all without leaving Nairobi.
Your Tent Under the Trees
The camp has nine en-suite guest tents, each a comfortable, private place to retreat after a day or an evening in the city. Surrounded by mature trees and rich birdlife, you wake to the sounds of nature, with occasional sightings of bush babies, tree hyraxes and monkeys in the woodland around you.
A Smart Base for Exploring Karen and Nairobi
The camp's location makes it an ideal base for Nairobi National Park, the Giraffe Centre and the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, while still giving you a quiet escape at the end of the day.
Special Fine Dining Under Canvas
Right now, there's an extra reason to stay. Nairobi Tented Camp has partnered with Chef Dennis Ang'ani to offer a unique, elevated Kenyan dining experience, launching at the ATTA® Networking Event.
Meet Chef Dennis
Chef Dennis is the chef and co-founder of Embark Dining, an intimate private dining restaurant in Karen. His cooking celebrates African ingredients through contemporary techniques, with tasting menus that explore Kenya's flavours and culinary heritage. With a warm, personal approach to hospitality, Dennis creates experiences that encourage guests to slow down, connect and enjoy the stories behind each dish.
Meet Procera Gin
Discover where wild African botanicals, pioneering craft and an exceptional Kenyan culinary journey come together. Procera is distilled in Nairobi at Kenya's first craft distillery, and is the first gin to showcase African juniper. Named after the Juniperus Procera tree, the only juniper native to the southern hemisphere, it's made with fresh berries hand-picked by local communities from Kenya's highland forests, paired with botanicals from across Africa. Each bottle even comes with its own botanical salt, blended with Zanzibar sea salt.
Culinary highlights include:
Tasting bites and canapés from Chef Dennis's new dining experience at Nairobi Tented Camp
Dishes celebrating African ingredients and Kenya's culinary heritage
Sundowner wines and cocktails from Dion Wines and Procera Gin as the sun sets over the forest
Proudly hosted in partnership with Nairobi Tented Camp
