Nyumbu Luxury Migration Camp is rewriting the narrative that authentic, Tanzanian mobile camps must be simple with foldable furniture, basic meals and bucket showers. Our 12 tent boutique, safari mobile camp is decadently furnished like a permanent camp, with gourmet dining and solar panels provide piped hot water showers 24/7.
Nyumbu Luxury Migration Camp comprises 12 luxury tents incl. 2 family tents and moves twice a year to position our guests amid the natural phenomenon of the wildebeest migration. From 15th December - 30th March the camp is in the Ndutu area of the Ngorongoro Crater Area Authority (NCAA), to experience the calving season when hundreds of thousands of female wildebeest give birth in synchronisation. From 1st June – 31 October the camp is rebuilt in the Northern Serengeti in Kogatende, affording our guests a front-row to the dramatic river crossings, a highlight of the annual Great Migration.
Our decadent NEW lodge - Upeo Serengeti By Nyumbu Lodge launches June 2026. Upeo meaning ‘horizon’ in Swahili is under construction in the Kogatende area. Elevated, on a granite outcrop (kopjie) the lodge features panoramic savannah views, year-round great game experiences and with the highlight of the legendary river crossings from June to October. Our new luxury lodge will comprise 10 villas, incl. 2 family & 2 honeymoon villas - all the villas have private plunge pools.
