Wilderness open in the Congo

Wilderness to launch first ecotourism in Congo (Brazzaville) and rebrand its product arms 

Wilderness expand to the Congo Brazzaville) next year following the opening of two new lodges in the north of the country.  Wilderness is to open two camps in the Odzala-Kokoua National Park in May and will become the first company to create ecotourism product and operate in the country.The launch comes after Wilderness was approached by the Congolese government and a European philanthropist to employ their brand of low impact, high yield ecotourism which they have operated in a number  of countries in southern  and south central Africa since 1983.

Wilderness has recently evolved its brand representation in a shuffle of its product and brands.The first move was Safari Adventure Company’s name change to Wilderness Adventures late last year and the Wilderness Safaris name has now joined as the group’s two camp-operating brands.

In addition its mobile safari brand is now named Wilderness Explorations and Sefofane Air Charters has been renamed Wilderness Air.In addition, the company has launched a new brand for a handful of its most iconic
properties in the form of Wilderness Collection. This will house North Island (Seychelles), Abu Camp (Botswana), Segera (Kenya) and also Odzala in Congo (Brazzaville).
