Ultimate Safaris is one of the leading authorities on travel to Namibia, often pioneering new ways in which to experience the country. We ensure exceptional leadership and a real connection to the places we visit. Our driving force is a selected group of specialists who are passionate about all things Namibian and who understand the importance of seamless guest services. This allows us to ensure that our partners are best placed to offer truly memorable safaris to their guests in one of the most awe-inspiring countries on earth. We employ the best naturalist guides and safari specialists, all of whom live and work in Namibia; we offer a selection of the finest lodges, hotels and camps (including our own exclusive-use Under Canvas Camps); and we run a state-of-the-art fleet of safari vehicles. This means we can guarantee unequalled personal attention and maintain the highest standards when planning and organizing Namibian safaris. We invest heavily in our team’s continuous exploration of new safari possibilities, putting us amongst the most progressive safari companies in the Namibian industry. As a result, we are at the cutting edge, and often well ahead of the game, on Namibian safari arrangements as demonstrated by the receipt of multiple innovation awards from ”We are Africa”.

Our Commitment to Responsible Tourism

Ultimate Safaris is privileged to be operating in some of the most pristine and delicate wilderness areas on earth. We are dedicated to the protection and conservation of these areas and to the improvement of the quality of life of the communities who are living in, or on the borders of, these pristine areas. We believe that the future of these unique environments lies in the hands of these communities, making them pivotal in the custodianship of these wonderful assets.
Ultimate Safaris has a registered non-profit organization called the Conservation Travel Foundation which is in support of such ideals. We have a deep understanding of all the areas in which we operate and support responsible tourism that in turn supports and promotes conservation and development initiatives. We contribute a percentage of all our revenue towards the trust which is spent on Conservation Travel Foundation-approved projects, which range from rhino and predator conservation to improved schooling infrastructure in rural areas.
In effect this means that guests, jointly with Ultimate Safaris, will be giving tangible assistance to the Namibian people and their environment in their efforts to achieve economic viability without doing harm to natural habitats and wildlife, so as to utilize both on a sustainable basis for the benefit and enjoyment of future generations.

“Fifth Day” COVID-19 Testing in Namibia Becomes a Breeze

NAMIBIA IS OPEN TO ALL!  Ultimate Safaris is a great believer in making the safari arrangements for all their guests as efficient and hassle-free as possible, so we have applied the same logic to this requirement which might otherwise become a serious annoyance and detrimental to guests’ enjoyment of their time in Namibia. This requirement will not be in place indefinitely, but while it is, we want the process needed to comply with it to be as easy and user-friendly as possible.

However, we believe that challenges like these have effects on mind set and pre-conceptions that will redefine our industry.  At Ultimate Safaris we have therefore used this time for introspection and focus on what we think will be required when international travel resumes, in the knowledge that this will not be what it was before for most of the world.
