Business at The Safari Store is underpinned by a love for Africa, its wildlife, and its people. As such, we are driven by a keen responsibility to assist African communities and conservation initiatives. YOUbuy, WEgive is the vehicle for this.

YOUbuy, WEgive was designed to make meaningful contributions to constructive community conservation in Africa. The projects were designed in consultation with anti-poaching units, government departments, and people on the ground to make a real difference to the people involved. The projects may be small, but they have a profound impact.

How it works For every purchase of a Rufiji, Mara&Meru, and Thusk product marked with the YOUbuy, WEgive stamp, customers make a contribution to our constructive community conservation range of projects.

Conservation From de-snaring to putting Rufiji Anti-Poaching Combat Boots on to the feet of hard-working patrolmen and women and supplying teams with binoculars and equipment they need to perform their jobs as well as they can, conservation is close to our hearts as Africa-lovers. Our Wonderbag project has a dual impact. Wonderbag is an environmentally-friendly cooking tool with far-reaching social benefits – and ours are inscribed with an anti-poaching message and distributed to communities around game reserves.

Communities By purchasing our Rufiji leather footwear, you are supporting the livelihoods of artisan shoemakers and assists with the education of a group of community schoolchildren. Similarly, Thusk provides an income to a team of Zulu grandmothers, allowing them the flexibility to take care of their families and earn valuable extra money.
