Natural Selection expand into Namibia in 2018

Natural Selection are excited to announce the opening of their first propriety in Namibia, Hoanib Valley Camp. Opening in May 2018, the camp is located in the Sesfontein Community Conservancy, our joint partners in the area. The camp sits on the banks of the Obias River, just outside the private 500 square kilometre Palmwag Concession, and overlooks the ephemeral Hoanib River that teems with resident elephant. The new 6 tented camp is being opened in partnership with the local Sesfontein Community and  the Giraffe Conservation Foundation, the most successful long term giraffe research organisation in the world. The camp will offer game drives to track desert adapted rhino, lion and elephant, cultural experiences and a unique interaction with the giraffe research team.

Six stylish tents will be raised on decks with ensuite bathrooms. Everything Natural Selection builds is ‘’clean and green’’ so the camp will run entirely on solar power. Furthermore 1.5% of all revenue generated by the camp will go directly back into conservation.
