Hideaways is fighting the taboo on menstruation
By Hideaways
Hideaways, in association with our charity, Grow Africa has joined the fight to break the taboo on menstruation in Africa by ensuring that the girls attending Dingani Primary School - near Hwange National Park in Zimbabwe - never have to go through the shame and psychological stress of having their period.

Teenage girls throughout Africa’s most rural regions miss a considerable amount of school, up to 25 % annually, due to the humiliation and stigma related to menstruation simply because they do not have access to or cannot afford basics such as sanitary pads. In keeping with our company ethos, we have partnered with Subz Pad s to provide Dingani's school girls with a sustainable and eco-friendly solution to menstruation.
We are aiming to raise $ 5000 to supply each of Dingani Primary School's Grade 6 and 7 girls with a set of Subz panties and pads on an on-going and sustainable basis. We will also use these funds to organise the educational and motivational workshops.
