Ranger Safaris Photographic Clinic & Safari
By ARP Group
Ranger Safaris has partnered with Paul Joynson-Hicks MBE to offer a special Photographic Safari & Clinic. This 2 week programme is designed for serious and amateur photographers that want to improve their photographic skills. The itinerary is packed with extended game drives, bush walks and cultural visits to give participants a large variety of photo opportunities.
This is a scheduled departure operating on a shared basis with only three participants per vehicle to provide window seats on each side of the vehicle as well as access to the game hatch. The maximum size of the group will be 12.
The safari is limited to 12 participants using four 4x4 vehicles with three travellers per vehicle so that every traveller has full access to windows on each side of the vehicle as well as the game viewing hatch.
Paul will rotate between the vehicles to offer instruction on all aspects of photography from how your camera works. You don't need a smart DSLR as he can instruct you on whatever camera you have. Topics include the basics of photographic techniques of exposure, depth of field and composition as well as advanced techniques such as panning, night photography and time lapse photography. Each vehicle will be driven by a senior Ranger Safaris driver/guide with experience in travelling with clients who want brilliant photos.
Paul will also be doing computer instruction for those of you who might want it. He will be going through various aspects of processing your images to get the best of them from Adobe LightRoom as well as picture management, storage and back up. Also, one of the most productive times we have on these safaris is when we look at each other’s images and find out what works and what doesn't work compositionally speaking. During the 2 week trip it becomes very easy to see your photography skills hugely improving.
The Safari will begin 21st May with the first night at in Arusha. Particpants will visit Arusha NP, Tarangire NP, Lake Manyara NP, Lake Eyasi, Ngorongoro Conservation Area and Serengeti NP. Contact one of knowledgeable consultants to get more details at alpha@alphauk.co.uk
