'We Can Fight Our Way Back' - Conservation Lab 2016

Beyond Luxury Media Ltd, the force behind the Cape Town based We Are Africa travel trade forum, have announced the launch of the Conservation Lab 2016, a progressive 2-day 'UnConference' which will provide the optimal conditions for the unconventional thinking and new innovation required to help win Africa's conservation challenges.

Assembling under the theme 'We Can Fight Our Way Back', the Conservation Lab will bring travel industry leaders to interact and innovate with influencers who are already impacting the conservation world, or are interested in doing so.

The UnConference will welcome approximately 100 guests at Spier Hotel & Wine Farmin Stellenbosch from 30 April to 2 May. The progressive programme includes concurrent user-generated sessions, camp fire discussions, and morning adventures, in addition to multiple surprise elements.

Beyond Luxury Media Ltd will run the Conservation Lab as a not-for-profit event. All contributions from attendees go entirely towards running costs, to make it a truly world class event.

The Conservation Lab has grown from a private, high-level 'conversation about conservation' in 2014 to a more open and inclusive 'conservation idea sharing platform' in 2015. Previous contributors have included Jackson Loosiya (BBC Big Cat Diaries), Paula Kuhumbu (Wildlife Direct), Ian Michler (Blood Lions), Derek Joubert (Great Plains Conservation), Peter Fearnhead (African Parks), Damian Mander (International Anti-Poaching Foundation) and Adam Weltz (WildAid).
