The Hide adds underground tunnel, exclusive-use offering
By The Hide SafarisThe Hide Safari Camp in Hwange National Park, Zimbabwe, has added a tunnel to the new underground hide. The camp has also added a private dining and lounge area.
The underground tunnel allows guests to access the hide from the main living area without being observed by wildlife. The hide is at a waterhole and allows views of the animals while keeping guests hidden from view, providing excellent photographic opportunities. An underground wine cellar has been added to the tunnel and houses premium wines and whiskies.
The new private dining/lounge area, which is situated beyond Tent 7, will allow exclusivity for between two and six guests, staying in Tent 7, as well as Tents 5 and 6, depending on numbers of guests. A private plunge pool will also be added to this area.
The main camp, along with Tom’s Little Hide, is undergoing a soft refurbishment. The Hide has upgraded four of its classic tents to deluxe tents with outdoor ball-and-claw bath tubs and showers. Three of the tent roofs have been re-thatched and mosquito nets are being added to all the tents.
