DRAMA in the MARA: Lioness versus Buffalo - How it happened
By Gamewatchers SafarisYou must have all heard about the shocking story of how 11 year old lioness Siena of the Maasai Mara survived after being injured in a gory fight with a buffalo early this month. Emergency vets flew down to the Mara to treat Siena’s life threatening wounds. It took them about 4 hours to clean and stitch her up before letting her return to her cubs in the wild.
Gamewatchers Safaris’ driver guide, Meshak Sayialel, had just finished a picnic breakfast with some of our guests when they came across this live action that left Siena with an incredible injury.
Today, Siena is healing well and continues to hunt and protect her cubs in the Maasai Mara.
