Travel Africa partners with AWF and Safarilink
By Travel Africa MagazineTravel Africa magazine has recently partnered with African Wildlife Foundation (AWF.org), a conservation group working solely on the continent of Africa, to increase awareness about the issues that threaten Africa’s natural heritage and what AWF and its partners are doing to conserve the continent’s wildlife and habitats.
Under the new agreement, Gecko Publishing will produce a customised version of each issue of Travel Africa (www.travelafricamag.com) to be supplied to 3,000 of AWF’s key donors and partners. A two-page conservation advertorial section supplied by AWF will additionally be featured in all regular issues of Travel Africa.
With Africa’s wildlife and natural habitats under intense pressure, the new partnership will enable the magazine to increase its coverage of these issues.
AWF is one of the world’s largest and most active African conservation groups, with headquarters in Nairobi. It is a very strong lobbying voice in the fight to conserve Africa’s wildlife, and engages local communities, park authorities and a number of other stakeholders in a wide variety of projects across the continent.
Travel Africa is also supplying magazines to be carried in the seatbacks on all flights operated by Nairobi-based Safarilink Aviation.
Both agreements are effective with the current (Winter) issue of Travel Africa.
