New in Liwonde National Park: Miyala Camp

Robin Pope Safaris take great pleasure in announcing the opening of Miyala Camp, Liwonde National Park in July 2014.  Miyala, meaning "rocks" in the local Chichewa language, has been named and built with inspiration from its rocky environment - the rocks’ natural grey hues have been drawn into the interiors, with huge external rock features marking the unique flares that only conceptual designer Neil Rocher could envisage.

Set at the base of the Chiunguni Hill overlooking the Chikalogwe Plain of the Shire River, Miyala is set to host up to ten guests in four luxury safari tents with the usual Robin Pope Safaris personalised experience.

A good mix of activities on land and water will be available at Miyala Camp to explore the park and view the great variety of game and birds.

Miyala complements what Robin Pope Safaris already has to offer in Malawi and Zambia, memorable bush and beach combinations.
