Singita Appoints Nigel Pace to Manage its Kruger National Park Operations

Singita has announced the interim appointment of experienced hotelier Nigel Pace as General Manager of Singita Kruger National Park, and its award-winning lodges Singita Lebombo and Singita Sweni.

For the next six months Pace will be taking over the reins from Caroline Burke, who has held the position for the past three years, while she has been tasked to drive specific strategic projects within Singita’s Sales and Operations departments at its head office in Cape Town.

Joining Singita with 17 years’ luxury hospitality experience, Pace says he is looking forward to this new challenge, before he transitions to his next career step. Pace spent the past six years as General Manager of the Cape Grace Hotel, where he was personally recognized by the Luxury Travel Advisor’s Awards of Excellence in 2011 as ‘Top General Manager of a Luxury Hotel/Resort Worldwide’. Prior to that, he held the position of General Manager of Operations for fellow Relais & Châteaux member, The Collection by Liz McGrath.

Singita COO, Mark Witney, says the company is delighted to welcome Pace to the Singita family. "We are indeed fortunate to have been presented with this unique opportunity that has resulted in an arrangement that suits both parties. We look forward to working with Nigel, albeit for six months only, to share in his rich industry experience and extensive knowledge of this niche luxury travel market."
