Selinda Spillway joins
By Great Plains ConservationThe flood waters pouring into Botswana via the Okavango and Linyanti systems have resulted in the Selinda Spillway head waters having reached and joined up this year already! In 2009 this happened for the first time for 30 years in August. In 2010 it happened in May, last year it was the end of March and now in 2012 mid-February. At this rate perhaps the Selinda Spillway is heading towards permanently flowing year-round?
We look forward to a very exciting, productive and rewarding 4 day/3 night Selinda Canoe Trail season, which starts in April.
