AirKenya Express Boasts Two Brand New Cessna Caravans


Airkenya took delivery of its second brand new Grand Caravan late last year.  The Caravan arrived from the Cessna Factory in Wichita, Kansas, USA.

The 12 seater Caravan is equipped with the latest integrated flight instrument system with its all-glass- suite cockpit, latest avionics package which includes traffic avoidance collision system, (TACS), enhanced ground proximity warning (EGPWS)and an efficient auto pilot system amongst many other features.


Airkenya’s  General Manager, Capt Dino Bisleti has indicated “the Caravan will be operated with two pilots as per the airline crewing policy and it  will complement Airkenya’s  fleet to better serve the airline’s many scheduled destinations”.


Airkenya operates scheduled flights into the Masai Mara, Amboseli, Samburu, Lewa Downs, Nanyuki, Meru, Lamu, Malindi, Diani and across the border to Kilimanjaro in Tanzania. Airkenya also offers competitive charters within the region.


Airkenya’s fleet includes deHavilland Dash 7, Dash 8, Twin Otters and Cessna Caravans.
