Cheli & Peacock and Elsa's Kopje - Proud Winners at Kenya Tourism Awards 2011
By Cheli & Peacock Safaris (DMC)At the 2011 Kenya Tourism Awards, not only did Elsa's Kopje proudly receive the award for 'Best Accommodation Facility', but Cheli & Peacock was also honoured by being awarded the 'Judges' Award for Community Support & Integration'.
Attended by the Secretary General of UNWTO (United Nations World Tourism Organisation), Dr. Taleb Rifai, Kenya's Minister of Tourism, Hon. Najib Balala, and various other international dignitaries, the KTF Kenya Tourism Awards honoured a handful of companies within Kenya's tourism industry who demonstrated innovative, sustainable, and responsible tourism practices - altogether contributing towards Kenya's growth and development.
We are so grateful to have been recognised for these efforts, and would like to thank KTF, KTB, and all those involved for their hard work and support.
Responsible tourism is something which we believe very strongly about, and has been the essence behind where we have chosen to position our properties, how we have built them, and how we run them on a day-to-day basis, and is a common theme shared by all of the properties within The C&P Portfolio.
